A Todo el Mundo

we went to the Parque Nacional del Cafe. Its basically a huge theme park of coffee.... we hiked for 4km through wilderness and coffee bushes in the rain. which was entirely pleasant... except for the last part, which was a magical forest of myths and legends... um that sucked. Then we went on a roller coaster... oh and the animatronic orchids.... they were a blast... with the singing... and the cross bones egg... and the happy ending... complete with song and orchid dance. then today we went to Salento. Which is also in the middle of no where... with 3500 people... just like Vermilion. We walked for an hour and a bit to go to an organic coffee farm (they call it a finca in spanish).
the guy... Don Raul... gave us a tour of the plantation and even gave us some coffee to try...

then we wandered down another back road to take the bus... which by the way, we are getting very good at taking the bus. we are starting to really fit in, in colombia. hahaha which can be sometimes bad... like Nathan... they always think he is Colombian, so at all the scary police check stops, they ask him for his Colombian ID card... and Nathan is like: umm passporte?? we are safe. we love colombia. and we will write again in a couple of days... Colombian internet is a trial... it always shuts off in the middle of things... love: Kristy and Nate
